August 19, 2011: Conspiracy Week

Filed under: My Stack — Brandon @ 3:51 pm

It’s been conspiracy week in my little world. Namely, did LBJ have JFK assassinated and did Paul McCartney die in 1966?

JFK
There have been a few mentions on local radio this week of the theory that LBJ had Kennedy assissinated so that he could take over the White House sooner than later. Hmm, about the same time Texas Governer Rick Perry announced that he would run for President in the next election. Coincidence or conspiracy? Nevermind that. The video below shows how some really cool forensic photography and computer modelling work used to (dis)prove the Grassy Knoll Gunman theory. The funny thing is that, based on a sampling of YouTube videos, people have located at least three different gunmen behind that wall, all in different locations! The "Badge Man" in this video is not the most convincing anyway, IMHO. Oh well, enjoy…

Paul McCartney
There’s a lot of videos that have been compiled to convince you that Paul is dead…well, the real Paul that is. Here’s a couple that take the opposite stance, using photocomparisons and such to prove that the old Paul and the new Paul are the indeed the same Paul. Either way, I don’t know that I buy the idea that the whole thing was a string of coincidences: the Abbey Road album cover, the black carnation, and the like. I think that it is very possible that the whole thing was a runnign joke ‘mongst the mates.

And if you want to read through the 376 "clues" found to date, you can do so here:

Terence Cardinal Cooke
This has nothing to do with a conspiracy, but YouTube videos about Paul’s "death" are often related to videos about the death of John Lennon (which nobody wishes to contest apparently, by the way). This video of President-elect Reagan’s reponse caught my eye because he happens to be standing next to a Bishop (note the chain). I missed it the first time, but the news anchor confirms in the video that Reagan is with Terence Cardinal Cooke of New York. It’ll take some digging, I’m sure, but I’d like to know more about the relationship, if any, between these two men.
