The Seven-Day Week
I was doing some research for another post and ended up with a few good pages on the topic of the seven-day week, its origin, the meanings of the names of the days, etc. I have no plans for a post on that topic specifically, but I thought the links were worth keeping. Some are redundant, but not necessarily exact copies.

French Revolutionary Calendar
While reading through the links above, I found this link. An attempt to de-Christianize the calendar was made in France in the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
