May 23, 2013: Lego Rental, Lemon Bread, Printed Food, Pazzi, Da Vinci Shroud, Hyperbole

Pleygo Lego Rental
They call it the Netflix of Legos. Rent a set, build it, and then return it. The blocks are sanitized between rentals. They provide a few spares and don’t charge for a few strays. Donated sets help build membership credits. The buddy who shared this with me is convinced that this is the way of the future; after all, he says you can rent jewelery and even purses, so why not Legos.

Lemon Bread
We tried this recipe earlier this week. It’s very good!

NASA’s 3D Food Printer
It’s not exactly the replicator found on board the U.S.S. Enterprise, but it’s cool because it’s a design for a real machine. Not sure the printed pizza sounds too appetizing though.

The Pazzi Conspiracy
I may have to do some more research on this little nugget of history.

Da Vinci Faked Turin Shroud
Since we’re talking about conspiracy theories here, this link was shared by the same buddy who sent the one about the Pazzi Conspiracy above. Again, something to research and watch develop.

Train vs. The Market
Ever heard someone complain about a freeway running through the front yard or a train track through the living room? That is called hyperbole. These folks make it real.
